Bio

Hi, I'm Tianqing(TQ) Feng, currently a Ph.D. student in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Central Florida. I work in the Petelski Lab, where I'm mentored by Dr. Aleksandra A. Petelski-Kulik. Prior to this, I was a data analyst at the Center for Precision Medicine(CPM) at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, under the supervision of Dr. Kumar Sharma. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Louisiana State University(LSU), where I was mentored by Professor Lu Peng.

Research Interests

My research will focus on leveraging mass spectrometry and single-cell proteomics to gain insights into cellular heterogeneity and protein dynamics in health and disease, with the goal of advancing the design of biomaterials and therapeutics. I am particularly interested in applying these approaches to clinical contexts, such as understanding dysregulated proteomic networks, investigating tissue regeneration and cell differentiation, and exploring how biomaterials influence cellular function. In addition, I am interested in developing and implementing algorithms to streamline data processing and improve workflow efficiency for large-scale biological datasets, as well as integrating Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning approaches. My AI/ML focus includes multi-modal learning, interpretable and trustworthy AI, representation learning for single-cell data, graph-based modeling of biological networks, spatial and temporal modeling, generative models, and advanced deep learning techniques to enhance biological data integration and analysis.

If you're interested in collaborating on projects, please don't hesitate to reach out via email. I'm always open to exploring new ideas and collaborations!
